Once your project is scoped with us, our marketing strategic planning consultants will visit your company, and carry out a comprehensive review of your business, notably, the SWOTO analysis. This process will identify your business’s Strengths, (S), Weaknesses (W) Opportunities (O) Threats (T) and Other (O) elements. . We carry out this review with the Owners, Directors and key Managers i.e. those people who know the business best -what is great about it, what frustrates them and what concerns them. From these outputs we split the outputs into key areas and formulate with the Management Team a strategic action plan which addresses the issues and opportunities and attributes items that have arisen from the strategic review.
The strategic action plan effectively becomes the businesses strategic plan and by following the plan the business goes forward and grow stronger in specific directions , eliminating weaknesses and threats that are holding it back and maximising the opportunities available to it in a focused and directed manner.
Our action plans allocate responsibility for required actions to individuals or teams and have agreed dates for the actions to be completed. Our action plans are living documents (They don’t live in filing cabinets when completed) and we if required will facilitate and manage regular strategic action plan review meetings to ensure actions are being completed. Where difficulties or roadblocks are being encountered in delivering the actions we identify solutions to ensure the action plan stays on track.
Where the strategic review process identifies considerable issues in a business the actions in the action plan may take up to 9 months to a year to reach the desired position. Typically speaking the business will start to benefit immediately from the process and most action plans are completed within three months. Once the issues have been addressed we would normally recommend a new strategic review as the business would now be a considerably different and better organisation. The new Strategy will then focus more on the future and building more on the opportunities utilising the businesses strengths and more efficient processes.
